ABSTRACT
The study of this research is entitled “An Analysis Of Language Styles Used In Seminar On Elt Subject Video Presentation By Student Of English Study Program At Artha Wacana Christian University’’The writer formulated two research questions as what types of language style are used on video presentation and what are the most language style used on video presentation by Student of English Education Study Program. The aims of this research were to find out the types and to identify the dominant type of language style are used on video presentation by Student of English Education Study Program. The data was taken from students’ video presentation and the writer transcribed and analyzed the data by using descriptive qualitative analysis in conducting this research. Therefore, the result of this study shows that there are four types of language style that found in students’ video presentation such as frozen, formal, consultative, and intimate style. From the four styles above, formal style is the most dominant style found in this study. It means that a lot of english students prefer to use formal style when they are going to make a presentation.
