A Descriptive study on the problem encountering in teaching english as a foreign language during online learning at SMP Angkasa Lanud Eltari Kupang

ABSTRACT
This study is about the problem faced by the teachers toward online learning. The writer conducted this study under the title “A Descriptive Study on the Problem Encountering in Teaching English as a Foreign Language during Online Learning at SMP AngkasaLanudEltariKupang. To know what are the problem that faced in online learning and how to solve the problem that faced in online learning. There were three teachers of SMP AngkasaLanudEltariKupang involved in this study. To attain the aims of this study, the data were collected through an online questionnaire uploaded in Google Form. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. The findings revealed that teachers had seven problems encountered in teaching English as a foreign language during online learning that classified into understanding on the material, teachers’ ability to use technology in online learning, the limitation in the learning controlling, media of online learning, internet access, internet quota, and the less enthusiastic to participate in online learning.
