A Descriptive Study on Strategies applied by english Teachers in Teaching reading Comprehension to studients at SMP Adhyaksa 2 Kupang in school Year 2015/2016
ABSTRACT
This study was conducted under a title: A Descriptive Study On Strategies Applied By English Teachers In Teaching Reading Comprehension To Students At SMP Adhyaksa 2 Kupang In School Year 2015/2016. The research problem is what are the strategies applied by English teachers in teaching reading comprehension to students at SMP Adhyaksa 2 Kupang in School Year 2015/2016. The aim of study is to find out the strategies applied by English teachers in teaching reading comprehension to students at SMP Adhyaksa 2 Kupang in School Year 2015/2016. The writer focused on observation of strategies applied by English teachers to teaching reading comprehension at SMP adhyaksa 2 Kupang. The instrument for collecting the data is observation. In this research the writer used qualitative method as research design. The total number of population is two teachers in teaching reading. Finding shows the ten, strategies applied by English teachers in teaching reading comprehension, (setting, eye contact, speech and voice, teachers talk, using the local language, instruction, movement, questions and answering, using the blackboard, and class disipline), used to deliver information in the classroom or some other medium. Morever, the strategies applied by English teachers in teaching reading comprehension help to active students about a class topic, and enggage students in learning.
