A Descriptive Study on Grading given by teacher on Students Task of tent Grade at SMA kristen 1 Kupang in Academic Year 2016/2017
ABSTRACT
The title of this thesis is A Descriptive Study On Grading Given By Teacher kh,h(hkh(hmh0hSMA Kristen 1 Kupang In Academic Year ANBGRANBUE Focus on types on grading given by teacher about on students learning tasks. The research question is ewhat are the types on grading given by teacher on students tasks at SMA Kristen 1 Kupang. The aim of study is: to find out the types on grading given by teacher on students tasks of tenth grade at SMA Kristen 1 Kupang in obtaining the data the writer used qualitative method. The writer instrument in this research are interview and documented. After analyzing the data it was found that there are two types of grading employed by English teacher to asses their students learning process. The types are absolute standard grading and relative grading, from the types of grading, the researcher found out that in absolute standard grading eeeeee idea of 'what level of' student performances is truly necessary to earn a specific grade of eneeeeeeeeeeee performance of the group, while in relative grading, it is about studentseerelation among them. Based on the result of the conclusion, the writer might say that absolute standard are usually concerned with the degree of mastery to be achieved by students and may be specified as tasks to be performed, or the percentage of correct answer to be obtained on a test designed to measure learning tasks. Whereas relative grading is usually accomplished by ranking students in order of performance (percentile ranks) and assigning cut-off points for grades.
