ABSTRAK
ANTON BAKA EMANG (1238006). Local Wisdom of Lake Management (Ramuk) Wairinding In Prai Hambuli Village Nggaha Ori Angu District East Sumba Regency: DONNY M. BESSIE., S.Pi, M.Si and UMBU P. L DAWA., S.Pi, M.Sc as supervisor I and II. Marine Resource Management Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Christian University of Artha Wacana Kupang Wairinding Lake is one of the lakes in Prai Hambuli village which is developed with local culture, the management of this lake with the name "Palara'Ngi" or ban and customary restrictions aimed at conserving the aquatic resources. This study aims to (1) To know the history of the "Palara'Ngi" of 1998 and the dynamics that occurred (2) To examine the local wisdom of the community of Prai Hambuli Village and its role in the water resources management activities of Ramuk Wairinding. To know the social, cultural and economic conditions of the people of Desa Prai Hambuli related to the management of aquatic resources. The method used in this research is interview method. The sampling method of the sample size is calculated using Slovin (Sujarweni and Endrayanto, 2012) formula in Njurumana, (2016) and then the sampling is determined purposively (purposive sampling) then the number of respondents is 40 people, the analysis to know the social factor, economy , Prai Hambuli community culture obtained from interview result then presented descriptively and cultural data used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the level of community education is still low on Higher Education (2.2%), Community income from agricultural products and livestock is Rp 500.000, - Rp.1.000.000, the dominant community is Protestant Christian religion is 623 people. The management pattern of Lake Wairinding is coordinated directly by the village head, Wairinding Lake Utilization Pattern that is fishing and water usage activities as the need for cattle drinking, in the catching activity is done every day that is through fishing activities (mangela) and catching during season which done by all Community. The resources of fish in Wairinding lake are botok fish, dumbo catfish, Cork fish and fish and mujair fish. The results of ICS analysis, the highest utilization (90) of a resource is water and the lowest value of utilization (40) are four fish resources.
