The Application of Intensive Listening in Elt Classroom of Artha Wacac Christian University a Case Study

ABSTRACTS
The title of this writing is “THE APPLICATION OF INTENSIVE LISTENING AN ELT CLASSROOM OF ARTHA WACANA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016”. The aims of this research are to answer the research problem, How do the lectures apply intensive listening in ELT classroom of Artha Wacana Christian University and What are the roles of the lecturer in teaching intensive listening in English language classroom of Artha Wacana Christian University? The method that used in this writing is qualitative method. The subject of this resarch is a listening lecturer in class as the sample of this research and the class F 36 students as the subject of this study. The writer collected and analyzed the intensive listening in English language classroom and the roles of the lecturer in teaching intensive listening in ELT of Artha Wacana Christian University. To analyze the intensive listening and the roles of lecturer in teaching intensive listening, the writer investigated the process of applying intensive listening in English language classroom and the roles of the lecturer in teaching intensive listening in English language classroom then analyzed the data. After the writer analyzed data, the writer found that are the applying of intensive listening and techer roles in teaching intensive listening process are: the first examples in the applying intensive listening in teaching is, in the process of teaching learning on students listening for cues, the lecture mostly give in certain choral. It can help the students to understand the topic and become active in learning process. The second the roles of teacher is, the lecturer become the organiser in the class room which organize teaching an learning process become good class.The writer expects this writing could be as information for reader about the intensive listening in teaching English.
